I was shocked to find them on sale for less than fifty bucks on the AKG website but this also caused my expectations to be pretty low considering the competitors to be in the hundreds of dollars. If they simply worked at all I would have been happy lol. Well the hype was in fact real and not even just real, even better than I was expecting. The sound quality is without a doubt vastly superior to competitors like XM4'S, Airpods, Galaxy Buds, etc across all frequency ranges. It's not even close.. They also take very well to EQ and the accompanying app makes this very easy so people from all walks of life and lovers of any genre will be very satisfied. The feature set and functionality is where I saw reviews have some unfavorable things to say before making my purchase. However, this is the area I was mostly presently surprised because I already knew the sound would be satisfactory but set all my other expectations low because of said reviews. Some reported sub par noise cancelling. As a previous Sony XM4 owner I can confidently say that ANC is just as effective from both a listening standpoint and talking standpoint. I conducted various tests in noisy environments such as busy streets, cutting grass, high winds and performance exceeded expectations and was on par easily with much more expensive alternatives. The Talk Through passive mode worked with no issues and I could hear everything around me just fine as well. The only two critiques I have were two others had as well but I feel as if others were not being clear enough about what they meant giving the product a worse rap than deserved. One in that people had trouble connecting to the ear buds from their devices. It's not at all that it has issues or takes time actually connecting between devices, it just simply takes a few moments to appear in the AKG app. But they connect every time very quickly and just fine. The other reported issue is that the buds would decharge mysteriously in the case. This is simply due to the case not properly closing depending on which ear tip wing design you use. As long as you double check that the case is indeed fully closed then you will have no charging issues. I could not be more happier with my purchase and at less than fifty bucks it's really an absolute no brainer. If I were absolutely forced to make a suggestion of something to be seen in future releases it would be the support of higher quality Bluetooth codecs such as apt-x or LDAC. But again, the sound quality is already so much better than competing models that actually do support those codecs that I hate to even mention it. So yeah if you're considering these, consider no longer. Just get them, you won't regret it.
Date published: 2022-05-27

Rated 5 out of 5 by King_IRL from Best IEM at this price point Have had these for awhile now and can tell you the sound is pretty amazing. I hear of some people having issues with the controls on the side but I haven’t experienced that as harshly. The active noise canceling (ANC) works really well but not perfect. Honestly I’m in a loud gym and when music is going I don’t really hear others anyways. Ambient aware is nice when you’re trying to hear what’s going on. The only downside and it’s not a knock on the headphones is the app. The app has a EQ but operates poorly. The EQ, once you get it set, is amazing and makes the earbud even better. For my bass heads, there’s plenty and for everyone else they hit all the sweet spots. Definitely worth the price on retail but if you can snag them on a sale then you’d be a dummy for passing these up. Side note, not sure why they put the right earbud on the left and left on the right.
Date published: 2022-05-24

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sweegs from What a relevation... After coming across some unequivocal recommendations for this pair of TWS earbuds, I had an opportunity to purchase them for myself about two weeks ago and OH BOY I have been profoundly impressed with how good they sound. It's probably unavoidable to be inundated with marketing lingo that quotes acronyms and numbers like xxx Hz etc, yet when it comes to what ultimately matters to me (sonics, comfort, battery life), these are far more than good enough. My favorite headphones are my AKGs so I looked to their website for information. There I found the N400NC TWS and was immediately intrigued. The website was easy to navigate and the purchase process excellent. I have had the earbuds for a few weeks and find the functionality truly top notch. The sound is excellent and the connectivity clear. For that price this was an absolute steal. It is close to the Harman target which is amazing. The ANC, talk thru and ambient modes are not the best, and certainly would expect better for something that is MSRP $150, but it still does a little something. If I paid that MSRP, I would have to dock 2 points on technologically advanced for previous mentioned modes, and 1 durable point (because the case hinge seems fragile). But I have to review it for the price I got it for, and it gets 5 stars across for $48.
Date published: 2022-05-17

AKG N400NC TWS Reviews - page 2

y_2022, m_12, d_4, h_21

bvseo_bulk, prod_bvrr, vn_bulk_3.0.34

cp_1, bvpage1

co_hasreviews, tv_0, tr_310

loc_en_US, sid_n400nctws-, prod, sort_[SortEntry(order=RATING, direction=DESCENDING), SortEntry(order=SUBMISSION_TIME, direction=DESCENDING)]

clientName_akg

bvseo_sdk, dw_cartridge, 18.2.0, p_sdk_3.2.0

CLOUD, getReviews, 6ms

reviews, product

Then I paired them with my Bluetooth on the phone, after they connected to the phone as soon as I opened the AKG app they immediately connected and started doing an update. After the update and they reset then I started using them and no issues what so ever. They sound great the only conns I would have to say about the AKG N400NC is if you only want to use 1 earbud it has to be the right one, since it is the master and the left is the slave and the left I'm assuming doesn't have any microphones installed in the earbud for phone calls, you have to use both but since I always use both earbuds it's not a huge issue with me anyways.
Answered by: Rob Bass

Date published: 2022-08-02

Hi, does this model work for an iPhone 12? Thank you

Asked by: Junior

Yes, any Bluetooth earbuds will work on iphone.
Answered by: zodo

Date published: 2022-05-02

AKG N400NC TWS Questions - page 2

y_2022, m_12, d_4, h_21CST

bvseo_bulk, prod_bvqa, vn_bulk_3.0.34

cp_1, bvpage1

co_hasquestionsanswers, tq_36

loc_en_US, sid_n400nctws-, prod, sort_[SortEntry(order=LAST_APPROVED_ANSWER_SUBMISSION_TIME, direction=DESCENDING)]

clientName_akg

bvseo_sdk, dw_cartridge, 18.2.0, p_sdk_3.2.0

CLOUD, getContent, 4ms

questions, product
