Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great and clear sound! I bought this mic two days ago and I started using right away. The sound is clear and great, I was expecting less from it. It is built on a firm material and so is the shock mouth. I used it with the Scarlett 2i4 second generation interface and the sound is absolutely amazing. Now let`s just see how it goes through the years...

I own this microphone, is this good for recording vocals? I noticed vocals are not listed as one of the Instruments. And my most important question: For the "0 / -20db" switch, which selection "increases the headroom by 20 db", the "0" or the "-20" dB?

The mic is listed as having dual capsules, thus the multiple polar patterns. Are these capsules both cardiod capsules mounted back-to-back, or is it an omni capsule and a figure of eight capsule which are then mixed to achieve the cardioid pattern?

Hi! I was looking at this product and I noticed that unlike the P220, it does not list vocals as one of instruments section. I was wondering, are you able to use this microphone to sing and record vocals?

Asked by: Sass Master
Yes if you read through the manual it indicates it can be used for voice as pop filter and table stand are indicated accessories, also the freq curve is pretty flat so should provide clean recordings

I've just got this product and plugged it in to my behringer UMC404HD and flipped the 48V or phantom bower on and have Logic Pro up with the mic set up but it doesn't work. why is this. cause it works with other mice just not the AKG420

I'd like to find an attach for it that isn't a shockmount (like the one you sell for the cheaper P120 model) to bring it for field recordings without having to carry the whole case. Is it possible to buy just the "small attach" ? Where ? Please !
