Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Wireless/Noise Cancelling Headphones!! I received these for a Christmas present. These are incredible. The sound quality for music, phone calls and TV is unbeatable. I am blown away how amazing these are! I am a 110% satisfied and happy customer. Worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent pair of BT/NC headphones. I have had my N60NC Wireless headphones for just over a month as an upgrade to a pair AKG451s. (Also a very good product) and use my N60NCs on the 50 minute suburban train journey travelling to and from work. I mainly listen to spoken word material rather than music and I particularly enjoy dramas that I download from BBC iPlayer Radio. The noise cancelling is something that has really added to my enjoyment by taking away all the background noise that you don't notice when using other headphones and in addition the quality of the audio reproduction of N60NCs allows you to really appreciate the subtle sound effects and intonation of the actors in drama productions. Most are 45 mins long so just right for my particular journey and i go much quicker as well! I know a lot of reviews speak of music reproduction which is also excellent but have a listen to drama with these as well and there is a wealth of podcasts to enjoy. Battery life is good also and I only need to charge them once a week. They work well with my iPhone and Apple Watch combination and pair up quickly when I turn the headphones on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVED THEM! Bought them for myself but they didn't last long; my son came to visit and he decided they are the best thing that happened to him... they work incredibly well, the quality stellar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely well pleased I listen primarily to music with a strong vocal component: early and traditional music, contemporary folk, modern vocal compositions etc. For such music, these headphones perform exceptionally well. I can't speak to bass reproduction, as the music I listen too is generally strongest in the higher registers, except to say that it seems more than adequate. I ran some bench-marking tests, which the headphones passed with flying colors. Soundstaging seems pretty effective to my ears; however, I can claim no great sophistication as an audiophile. As I use these for traveling, the fact that they fold down compactly and are relatively light is a big plus. Bluetooth pairing is extremely straightforward and unusually well executed compared to many devices I have used. Use with the supplied cable is easy and the sound quality equally excellent (or possibly slightly better). I have not experience any discomfort from the ear pads, with up to a couple of hours of continuous listening. The noise canceling is terrific, and a delight as I do much of my listening on long rides on the bus (I'm a long-distance commuter). I can't speak to long-term durability, but these seem very well built, and the included soft pouch is very handy. All in all, I'm delighted. The only negatives are the placing of the volume and pairing switches on the right-hand speaker, which can get confusing, and the fact that they are a little loose on my head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent compact pair of NC headphones I've been watching like a hawk for these to come out in spring as I wanted it for my long haul trips. Unfortunately

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Headphones/ wireless or not This is my second AKG N60 headphone. I purchased the wired headphone over a year ago and the wireless a month ago. The headphone NC capability is remarkable. You can hear / not hear the difference with the NC on / off switch on the wired headset. Its almost as if the listener was in a sound proof booth. I've used the NC capability on a recent Alaska Airline 5 hour trip, the NC is great and the headphone charge is easily a good 12-14 hours, sometimes longer. Both wired and wireless NC equally amazing. For those who are more interested in sound quality, the frequency range is balanced and clean. Sound at all ends of the spectrum are clear and there is no distortion unless you crank up the volume to the point that it would be uncomfortable to use. I've always been a fan of the full frequency response (20-20,000 ) sounding clean and clear, without the necessity of a boost to base or the need for an equalizer. These headphones are truly clean and clear. Of course, the use of an equalizer to create a personalized experience will only enhance the headphone experience, but not necessary for a wide range of music or listening. I enjoy a wide range of music, from: classical, to jazz, to rock, to new age, even books on tape. These headphones sound clean with the full spectrum. Lastly, the price for such a high quality (high quality material/form) headphone with NC capacity is about as good as it gets. I've tried Bose headset and other, but these are their equal in almost all aspects, but a good 20 percent less in price point. And, the customer service is impeccable. I needed new head phone pads for the original set, and they were shipped immediately, under warranty, with no question or hassle.

What are the dimensions of the headset when they're folded?

Based on our estimation, the AKG N60NC measures about 2-3 inches when folded and when placed inside the case, it's about 3-4 inches.

Can you recommend a hard case? The included soft case is great, but I would sometimes like a little more protection for the headphones.

Asked by: pmk23
Hi! You can use any case that you prefer. Just as long as the headphones are not shaking inside the case while being carried, then that should be fine.

How to turn on noise cancellation, there is no switch to turn on noise cancellation on?

Asked by: Abhi
The AKG N60 NC Wireless has the switch which includes the Bluetooth button. This is also where the Active Noise Cancellations (ANC) are turned on or off. Please refer to page 3 of the owner's manual for more information.

Blue led light should blink slowly when connected to a bluetooth device (says manual). Mine does not blink when connected but stays on constantly? Also, why the right hinge is more loose than the left one? It won't 'lock' to adjustment levels so well.

Can I listen to headphones and charge them on the same time? Quite a few w/l headphones does not allow that and I cannot find information from manual. Thank you in advance!

Asked by: kaarelj
Yes, but only with music via cable, and noise reduction will not be active. As soon as you insert the charging cable micro-usb plug, the Bluetooth and NC functionalities will be switched off, and they cannot be reactivated unless you remove the charging cable, and there must of course be a charge in the battery. If you listen to cabled music while charging, be prepared to hear noise under certain conditions. Both computers and switch-mode power supplies can be very noisy, and this noise can sometimes be heard as a whine or buzz. This can only be eliminated by using a power supply that does not create noise.
