N60 NC is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased with these after three years' use This is an update to a rather negative review of a year ago which I can now elevate to 5 stars all things considered. I apologise for the lateness - When I looked again today I saw the excellent reply from AKG. Sad that I missed the AKG kind offer to replace the earpads for free. Serves me right! 1. I've been using these headphones for three years (registered August 2015) and they are holding up very well indeed. They sound excellent and noise cancelling is a real relief on trains. Even the raucous and repetitive announcements are a bit more bearable and general background clatter and rumble is greatly reduced. If I wear them with noise cancelling activated and no music it is quite magical the way sounds like the fan on my PC just disappear; replaced by a fairly relaxing background sound that is barely noticeable even when playing soft music (this is normal with NC systems). 2. They have remained in near-new condition apart from needing new earpads. 3. They are reasonably comfortable over several hours' use. 4. Regarding disintegrating earpads I have had similar experiences with other headphones and other reviewers have noted the same problem. Perhaps some investigation is in order by AKG. Could it be that some users have a particular kind of skin surface that can damage the pads? For example, skin acidity might vary between people. Perhaps the earpad material could be modified to account for it. 5. I still wonder why the earpads are the 'wrong' way up if you fold them flat whilst around the neck. It might be a simple matter to change the design so that the 'outer' part faces outwards when folded flat. I have another make of headphones that are exactly the same so it isn't just AKG! 6. I do not use the supplied case because as far as I can tell there is no way to get the N60 NCs into the case without grinding the metal rims together which would probably scratch them. I hope the case design has now evolved a bit No big deal - I just bought a general purpose soft case which does not look nearly as nice but does not crush the N60 NCs 7. Finally, I should say that based on my experience I am considering buying the Bluetooth version of these headphones especially as they support Apt-X. PS. Could this discussion board give an option to update reviews? I tried to 'report' my original review thinking I could just add a note but that did not work. Thanks to AKG for keeping all reviews on the site. Also if a user is logged in could the web site fill in the details below?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sound, iffy manual Even with my military comprimised hearing these sound great. They are as comfy as headphones can be at under 7 oz. The manual on the other hand suck. The print is so small that cheeters don't work, you need a magnifying glass, a big one. The on line manual seems to be describing a totally different style of N60s. Other than that, great.!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent headphones that came with the Note 9 I pre-ordered the Galaxy Note 9, and therefore got these free with my purchase. They have excellent sound quality and have pretty good battery life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound quality! Extraordinary sound quality and a great noise cancelation feature. Well balanced sound and they feel great (taking into consideration that they are on-ear headphones).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these headphones! I just got these headphones and took them on a flight. They were awesome, exceeded my expectations. Noise canceling worked great, sound was fantastic, they're super comfortable, and the setup/use was super simple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent pair of BT/NC headphones. I have had my N60NC Wireless headphones for just over a month as an upgrade to a pair AKG451s. (Also a very good product) and use my N60NCs on the 50 minute suburban train journey travelling to and from work. I mainly listen to spoken word material rather than music and I particularly enjoy dramas that I download from BBC iPlayer Radio. The noise cancelling is something that has really added to my enjoyment by taking away all the background noise that you don't notice when using other headphones and in addition the quality of the audio reproduction of N60NCs allows you to really appreciate the subtle sound effects and intonation of the actors in drama productions. Most are 45 mins long so just right for my particular journey and i go much quicker as well! I know a lot of reviews speak of music reproduction which is also excellent but have a listen to drama with these as well and there is a wealth of podcasts to enjoy. Battery life is good also and I only need to charge them once a week. They work well with my iPhone and Apple Watch combination and pair up quickly when I turn the headphones on.

I've had the N60NC'S for 2 months, and the left headphone has stopped working as well as the right one and the audio isn't as loud as the right one. Also, the left earphone makes a strange suction noise when any pressure is put on it. Can anyone help?

Asked by: MilesInTheEyre
Hi. Something has definitely gone wrong here, and I am sorry about these problems, which should not happen at all. There is only one thing to do, and that is to contact the place of purchase to claim warranty coverage. The headphones will probably have to go to service, where a technician can evaluate what has happened inside. Now, you are mentioning that both channels have stopped working completely, but you also state that left channel plays softer than right channel, and that there is a strange noise in the left channel. This seems to be contradictory, so please seek help to have them fixed or replaced. I cannot say if the suction noise is mechanical or stems from the NC system, since you do not mention if this happens with the NC on or off, but anyway, it must be cured by the same method as the other problems. I hope this all ends well.

My AKG N60NC Wireless headset keeps disconnecting from my Note 9. The battery is charged and there are no other devices connecting to the headset while in use. I do not have this issue with other bluetooth devices. Any idea what could be causing this?

Asked by: papaalpha2010
Please try to pair the AKG headphones to another phone or tablet and see if the issue persists. If it does ,please submit a case request at https://www.akg.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service Team will be more than happy to assist you.

how do I get these to pair with my 65 inch samsung mu6290 4k uhd tv

Asked by: gauge
Hi! The AKG N60 is a Bluetooth receiver, as long as your TV is capable of transmitting Bluetooth, you can connect your TV to the N60 headphones.

How can I connect it to my laptop? My laptop is unable to find it?

Asked by: Alok
Hi! The AKG N60 NC utilizes the standard Bluetooth Stereo Audio drivers available in most computers. There are two different Bluetooth protocols, one for Headset Audio used for talking on the phone, and the other for high quality stereo audio listening. Your laptop should be able to connect to the headphones using the Stereo Audio protocol. Your best bet is to go into your control panel and find the Bluetooth setup. This setup usually provides a setup wizard and will take you through the steps to install the drivers needed for Stereo Audio.

Hi, I want to buy the wireless N60 NC for forward compatibility, but use them wired with my iPod Classic. Does noise cancelling work in wired mode?

Asked by: Peter Everest
Hi Peter, No, sadly you will need to have the N60NC's powered on to use Noise Cancelling. When you plug in the cable to a source device, the headphones will automatically power off ( to passive mode ) and Noise Cancelling will be disabled.

Does the samsung app "Level" work with the N60nc wireless, or do you suggest any sound apps to show battery state and sound alive to equalize the sound or offer a tube amp effect?

Asked by: DBnote9
Hi! Unfortunately, we do not have a recommended app for the AKG K550 MKII headphones. You could try choosing from any 3rd party music apps.
