N40 is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Detailed, Great buy I am very happy with the n40. Resolution is great across the entire frequency, but a good source is paramount. This is a case of "garbage in garbage out" You can listen to your phone through the N40, but these are for more serious listening. You benefit from a high resolution player and amp, or an external DAC

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good earphones but have to pair with decent dac I own these pair for about 1 month and I love them. Treble is bright and clear but not harsh, Mid is detailed, vocal is a little bit foward, Bass is compact yet powerful and SoundStage is a bit wilder than common In-ear. But to get the best of them you need a decent dac (I use dragonfly red) the sound is not so good when played directly from phone or PC.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional These are a stunning earphone without a doubt. Right out of the box with an hour or so of run in time they produce a smooth and detailed sound, namely in combination with a decent DAC (AQ Dragonfly Red makes them sing so sweetly), and they are very comfortable. The only con I would say is that the cable it a bit too short - a few more inches at least would make a big difference. Hopefully some replacements/options will be available as accessories at some point in the near future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good sound quality but the inbox cable is not good The sound is amazing. It have clear backgrond sound and the sound stage is pretty good. If you upgrade the cable it's sound quality are improve a lots because the in-box cables are not good at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value for money The sound is warm yet very detailed. Sounds good before burning in but after burning in it sounds amazing. The stainless steel scratches easily but the scratches should not be visible under indirect light. Also very comfortable IEMs, you could sleep in them with no problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sound After having these for around three months now after buying them to listen to my DAP I'm very happy with them. The sound is clear and detailed at all levels and boy can they produce good low ends. I'm no bass head but I love low end on these and the extra detail I'm getting all through the ranges. I've had many in ear headphones and these are the most expensive I've ever had but I'm so glad I spent the extra on these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and accurate I bought the N40 a couple months ago and have time to really break them in. The highs are clear but not taxing, mids are warm and robust, and the low ends definitely can produce but are not overwhelming. They have an overall very pleasant frequency response. They aren't made for reference but enjoying Hi-Res music and being immersed. However, they really shine with a good DAP and Amp. They really shine with a good DAP and Amp. I use a fiiox5 gen 3 with them. The one flaw I've had is the original cable, without the controls, have malfuntioned on the right side causing and intermittent connection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just WOW! I bought it few weeks ago. After break in and a new pair of ear foam (for better comfort and noise isolation) they sound Amazing. Base is tight, a lot of detail but less sound stage than my AKG 702. One of the best earbuds you can buy!

Does the N40 work on Android phones or just iPhones?

Asked by: jamesyiyuan
As someone else has said you can use on both and there is a little switch. That said as mentioned by a few reviewers these are for better used with a good DAY or DAP to use them to their full potential.

I just bought the earphone yesterday and I connected the cables to the earpiece. However, how do I disconnect the cable? The manual mentions nothing about how to disconnect the cable.

Asked by: dillion2f4
Disconnecting the N40's is the same as connecting it. simply hold the earphone's and and pull the cable away from it.
