The power handling capability of a pair of headphones, stated in mW (thousandths of a watt), is a measure of the electrical power the headphones are capable of handling in continuous operation. It is measured with a specified noise signal. The noise signal is designed to simulate a typical music signal. The high-frequency content of the signal is much weaker than the low frequencies that put a much higher stress on the speaker. |
