AB 4000 Booster (with BNC Connectors) The booster shall be an ultra-linear in-line design with a maximum gain of 17 dB and a water resistant case. A bank of 3 DIP switches shall allow for optimum matching to connected antenna cable lengths of up to 35 m (RG 58) or 75 m (RG 213). To handle even longer cable runs up to 105 m (RG 58) or 225 m (RG 213), it shall be possible to connect two boosters in series with no signal degradation. The booster shall be remotely powered from a PS 4000 W antenna splitter or an external power supply and feature an LED indicating the presence of a supply voltage. The booster shall be available with 50-ohm BNC connectors and operate in the 500 MHz to 865 MHz carrier frequency range. The booster gain shall be adjustable from 17 to 3.5 dB. The booster shall operate off a supply voltage of 8 V, measure 110 x 35 mm (4.3 x 1.4 in.), and weigh 150 g (5.3 oz.). The booster shall be the AB 4000 from AKG.
