The microphone shall be a cardioid condenser microphone for vocal use. It shall be provided with an XLR module that can be replaced for wireless operation with the TM 40 plug-in transmitter module from the AKG WMS 40 wireless series. The transducer shall be shock mounted in a flexible suspension to suppress footfall, handling, and cable noises. An internal windscreen shall protect the microphone from wind and pop noise. The frequency range of the microphone shall be 20 Hz to 20 kHz, its sensitivity at 1 kHz 6 mV/Pa, max. SPL 142 dB SPL (for 3% THD), signal/noise ratio 73 dB (A-weighted). The microphone shall measure 50 mm in dia. x 180 mm long, be finished in matte black, and weigh 295 g.
