The microphone element shall be a dynamic design with an almost frequency independent supercardioid polar pattern and a threaded connection, for use with the AKG handheld transmitters. The frequency response of the microphone element shall be optimized for vocals, speech, and good intelligibility by using a Varimotion diaphragm. A neodymium magnet shall be used to achieve a high output level. The transducer shall be provided with a Doubleflex shock mount for footfall, handling, and cable noise rejection and an internal windscreen for protection from wind and pop noise. The microphone element shall perform to the following specifications: Frequency range: 60 Hz to 18 kHz; sensitivity at 1 kHz: 2.5 mV/Pa; electrical impedance: 600 ohms; max. SPL for 3% THD: 156 dB; signal/noise ratio (A weighted): >72 dB.
The microphone element shall measure 52.5 mm in diameter by 66 mm long, be finished in soft-touch matte black enamel, and weigh 158 grams.
