The transmitter shall be a plug-in transmitter with an XLR connector to match all dynamic microphones. The transmitter shall provide an integrated on/mute/off switch, input gain control, and battery status LED as well as an integrated antenna to optimize the RF output. Charging contacts on the plug-in transmitter shall provide both rechargeable and conventional AAA size dry battery powering options. The audio bandwidth of the transmitter shall be 40 Hz to 20 kHz and it shall use a fixed carrier frequency between 710 MHz and 865 MHz. The transmitter shall be 98 mm long, weigh 36 grams net without battery, provide an RF output of 5 mW (ERP), and operate for eight hours or longer off a single AAA size battery.
