The microphone shall be a studio-quality cardioid condenser microphone. It shall include bass rolloff and bass cut switches and a 14-dB preattenuation pad for adjusting the microphone's frequency response and sensitivity to the application at hand. The transducer shall use an extremely thin, gold sputtered diaphragm to ensure excellent, highly detailed reproduction. The transducer shall be shock mounted in a flexible suspension to suppress footfall, handling, and cable noises. An internal windscreen shall protect the microphone from wind and pop noise. The frequency range of the microphone shall be 20 Hz to 20 kHz, its sensitivity at 1 kHz 7 mV/Pa, max. SPL 144 dB SPL (for 3% THD), signal/noise ratio 73 dB (A-weighted). The microphone shall measure 46 mm in dia. x 184 mm long, be finished in matte black, and weigh 300 g. The microphone shall be the C 535 EB made by AKG.
