The renovated St. Martin's Cathedral in Eisenstadt in the Austrian Province of Burgenland presented a unique challenge to the sound system designers. Requirements included consistent coverage - a task rather complicated by the existing columns - and "invisible" equipment.
The microphones used in the system are AKG CK 33 capsules mounted on GN 15 goosenecks and controlled by a BSS Soundweb programmable audio distribution matrix. A split console allows an audio feed to be provided for TV or radio broadcasts. The sound system passed its acid test to the client's full satisfaction.
