The new Welcome Center at Morton Arboretum features a public orientation area, two public dining rooms, and one private dining room.
Mike Mueller, the design engineer, made use of DSP and programmable remote controls to manage two music sources and provide room combining, without the need for a sound tech on-site.
Because of the low ceilings of the dining area, and the abundance of reflective glass, feedback was a concern.
The well-behaved AKG transducers helped make this system workable.
