The Justice Department of the Canadian Province of Québec has decided to purchase AKG Discreet Acoustics Series goosenecks and capsules for the recording systems in all courtrooms of Québec. Erikson Audio, AKG Acoustics Distributor for Canada, installed a total of 1,100 GN 30 and GN 50 goosenecks, all fitted with CK 33 hypercardioid capsules.
The undisputed high quality of these products and their reliability were reasons for the Department to prefer the AKG Discreet Acoustics system to competitive tenders, but the most important criterion was their superior acoustic quality.
Many persons appearing in court are unfamiliar with using microphones, and in difficult cases the recording of a statement may affect the verdict one way or another. Therefore, clearly intelligible, unequivocal voice recordings are of paramount importance in courtroom proceedings, and AKG Acoustics gooseneck microphones deliver the required high quality audio to the full satisfaction of the Ministère de la Justice du Québec.
