Open-air festival at Stein am Rhein, Switzerland uses wireless mics The Swiss town of Stein am Rhein celebrated its 1000th anniversary with a series of open-air performances of the play "No e Wili" ("A Little While Longer") from July 7 through August 11, 2007. The play was performed by amateur actors only. More than 300 women, men, and children participated with great enthusiasm. Medieval music, 15th-century style costumes, and the painted houses on the Rathaus square in Stein added up to an unforgettable experience for every visitor. The audio equipment used for the performances included 24 AKG WMS 4000 bodypack wireless systems. The entire setup was operated by Night Sound Studio from Ramsen, Switzerland. Sound engineer Rolf Riedweg used a pair of SRA 2 B directional antennas to cover the entire Rathaus square and two adjacent streets for trouble-free RF reception. He used three HUB 4000s and the network compatible MCS 4000 control software to monitor the AKG radio links. Microphones used included C 417 lavalier and C 477 head-worn models. Six C 1000 microphones were placed on the stage to pick up ambience and chorus sounds. Equipment AKG Distributor: |
