The magic circus show "Afrika! Afrika!" enthralled as many as 1.2 million people in only 14 months. It is thus the most successful show in Europe at the moment and has even been honored with the "Live Entertainment Award" for the best non-music event in 2006. To satisfy the enormous demand, a second tour has been started that takes the production to such big cities as Amsterdam, London, Munich, Zurich, Vienna, Barcelona, and Paris as well as many other places. The sound system for the second production has been designed by Christian Ruppel's company Medienpark VISION. He decided to rely on AKG products throughout. Besides four handheld and eight bodypack transmitter channels of WMS 4000, Christian Ruppel uses the new IVM 4 in-ear monitor system for the first time. Each of four SST 4 monitor transmitters is fed a different stereo mix. An SPC 4 antenna combiner passes the combined RF signals to a single SRA 2 W passive directional antenna that covers the performance area. The system includes four SPR 4 bodypack receivers that ensure total mobility on stage as they provide the same consistent monitor sound throughout the entire performance area. Four CU 4000 battery chargers are used both for the eight WMS 4000 transmitters and the IVM 4 monitor receivers. The chargers make sure that all mobile equipment is ready for use every day, for every show, without the hassle of constantly replacing batteries. The performers also loved the AKG C 520 head-worn microphones and CK 77 lavalier microphones. Equipment WMS 4000 components IVM 4 components Microphones |
