AKG supports AES Student Recording Competition at 2007 European AES Pro Audio Expo & Convention.

This year’s European AES Pro Audio Expo & Convention took place in Vienna, Austria at the ACV (Austria Center Vienna) May 5 -8. AES is the one event that combines exhibits with high-profile technical sessions and user seminars. As always, AES has a strong technical focus and this year the spotlights were on Broadcast, Live Sound, Archiving and Post Production.

As in previous years, AES also gave students the possibility to take part in many technical sessions and seminars. AKG is proud to have supported one of this year’s most exciting sessions, the Student Recording Competition. Student members could submit stereo and surround recordings in the categories classical, jazz, folk/world music, and pop/rock. During the convention, a distinguished panel of judges then participated in critiquing finalists in each of the categories through an interactive presentation.

Competition winners were announced at the closing “Student Delegate Assembly Meeting” held on Tuesday, May 8th where AKG prizes (C 451 and Perception 400) were awarded by AKG Advertising & Promotion Manager Mathilde Neubauer.

“The Student Recording Competition furthers music education by encouraging new musicians, and AKG is honored to be a part of this special event,” commented AKG President Stefan Gubi.
