DEAR FRIENDS OF AKG:

I?m a music composer with only Synthetizers and I do most of my job mostly with headphones connected to my synth.     Actually, I have AKG K100 headphones, but I want to improve my audition system, that is to purchase better headphones.      I use mostly headphones because I play in a very silent place, and I always do my final final mixes with loudspeaker monitors.

My question is:  If I don?t want to use high volume levels to protect my ears, but I want to have the best deffinition sound to produce my music, and even make some mixing, what headphones should I buy, K240 Studio, or K240 DF?        Would I really hear some diference betwen my K100 and any of the K240S or K240 Df?

I would really apreciate your help.
Pablo.

Hi pcano,

The K240DF is the most "neutral" sounding headphone for monitoring in our range. It has less bass than the K 240 monitor because it is
diffuse-field equalized.
In the high frequencies both headphones are sounding equally.
If you want more bass, the K240 Studio is the right choice for you.
If you are looking for more bass than the K 240 studio will supply, the K271 will provide more bass than the K240 Studio, however, it is a closed-back headphone.

There are many threads with long discussions about the same or similar questions, thus please have a look to earlier postings, you will easily find them, when looking for higher numbers of postings per thread.
