I didn't notice a "support" section on the site, but I need to order the gold 1/4" adaptor for K240DF headphones...anyone know a good place? Weird thing...the adapter just came apart one day. No abuse, just unplugged it and noticed half of it was still in the headphone jack. Has this happened to anyone else? Will AKG send me a free one if I ask somewhere?

thanks all.

(btw, love the phones, just antsy to hear them again)

Hi,

The easiest way to remove the broken tip is by using a longer and bigger sized screw with a sharp self tapping thread. Such screws are used for screwing up wooden elements. At the tip they have a tapered thread, the size of which should match the inner diameter of the broken adapter part. Carefully turn the screw into the adapter until the thread grips. Then the adpater can easily be pulled out by the screw.

Kind regards
