Hi,
I'm new round these parts, I'm looking for advice on a 'dead' D112. Used it for recording kick drum on Saturday & Sunday, and by late Sunday afternoon noticed the most recent take had not picked up any signal, no crackle, static nothing Sad I ran a few tests, cable checks, desk inputs etc and deduced the mic is shot. Had it around 3 years so its probably past its warranty, but only used on a handful of sessions. Any advice on an official AKG repair / service in the UK. My local repair man Pete Hartley in Sheffield could probably fix this, but want to check out the official route first.
