A dynamic microphone works like a loudspeaker ( but in a reversed way ), needs no power and has a low sensitivy.
A condenser microphone needs phantom power for the internal electronics and the capsule works like a condenser with variable capacity - sensitivy is much higher.
short enough ?
kind regards
