i was wondering if i can get an opinion on what to do about this....scenario.

2 weeks ago, i bought a brand new sealed box of akg 271 mk2 on craigslist, i got it for a good price, everything was sealed and bagged, sticker blabla legit.

few days ago i was djing with them, and the left side (where the cable is) started to cut out, if i move it a bit the sound comes back on the left side.

im not sure if its a wiring problem or i dont know, what do you suggest I do to get it fixed? should i take it to a local electronics repair shop, perhaps a musical repair shop? i live in mississauga ontario, which is a bit close to toronto.

thank you for your advice.

i also want to say that i did a very slight modification but i do not think its the cause of the problem.

i unscrewed the left side a bit so i can move the mute button to the side so it doesnt mute when i take off the headphones.

Hi,

the mute switch can be set off work when you turn the swivel which switches the mute switches for 90 degrees.
In your case it will be the best to bring it back to the shop where you have bought it - for a warrenty repair.

kind regards
