How do I make wireless TV headphones work when the only plug is for a regular headphone jack?

I have audio video outs on my television but no headphone jack, like the same as my computer headphones... I bought these for my TV I find it really strange the plugs are a regular headphone jack... my TV, DVD player, and Sattelite box do not have a headphone jack.. so confused... is there a converter of some sort or what the heck?

Nearly every wireless headphone works wiith a regular 1/4" plug - as nearly every TV has a regular 1/4" bushing for headphones.
kind regards
