Hi ! I have an all-original AKG K-340 headphones that still work great but they are needing a phono-plug replacement. Original plug is sealed so I can't fix it. I almost replaced it with a Neutrik N3PC-BAG plug but stopped short to fix it since now I'm considering replacing the entire cord as well. The cable is OK but it's old and I think there are many new oxygen-free cables that could greatly improve the sound since in its days there were no such cables. Question is: do you carry newer cables that fit the K-340's ? The cable is a four-conductor flat type. If you don't carry any such cable do you know an alternative ? I want a superb-quality cable since I love my K-340s and don't intend to replace them in the short term. Many thanks.

Hi Folks,

The cable for the K340 is still available under part number 2376K0001. It's the original cable material. We do not have a suitable 'better' cable but as you are convinced about the sound quality of your K340, why change the material? For headphones especially in higher impedance types the cable material is of not so vital importance as e.g. for loudspeakers.

Coming to the second question about specs:
Frequency range: 16...25.000 Hz
Impedance per side: 360 Ohms
Operating power at 1 kHz: 2,5 mW for 1 Pa = 94 dB

Kind regards

Thanks for the reply Karl. So where do I get part number 2376K0001 and how much is it ? I'm on Buenos Aires, Argentina. By the way I'm skilled on electronics and I can fix it myself providing I can get the cable first. Thanks again.
