AKG 240 Monitor

I got hold of an old AKG 240 Monitor, but the foamy disks (part 22 in the maintenance pdf) are missing.
Does this alter the sound in any way?
I can't compare because I never heard it working with those disks (membranes?)

Dear Catch22,
Part 22 is the plastic disc with the black foam around the capsule.
This foam is an acoustical filter for the signal which comes from the backside of the capsule. Without that damping material the sound is different for sure.
All parts of the K 240 are still available - please ask your local dealer for help.
kind regards

I'll look up a local dealer then.
Thanks for the reply :-)
