Hello  Smiley !

I have a pair of K501 Headphones that are in daily use since the year they came out. The Earpads have been flushed under lukewarm water from time to time and then dried before Reassembly. Despite this they have collected Dust and Dirt over the years. I now want to give them a thorough cleaning, using more than just water, but I don`t know what Detergents I can use that are not aggressive to the Earpad materials. Are they stable enough to be put into the washing machine? Any helpfull suggestions are appreciated.

Greetings,

Hello,

I think I'd risk using the washing machine... maybe at the lowest temperature possible.

If you do ruin the earpads that way, you could still order replacement parts which might be a good idea after so many years anyway.

I don't know where you live, but at least in Germany, those spare parts are available for reasonable prices.

Kind regards,
Stephan
