I need to replace the cable of my AKG K1000 headphone because the outer insulation is begenning to break up. Is it possible to get this from AKG? I think it is the 1801Z6901 order number in the service document. I would prefer a longer, 4m cable but the original size will do too. ( I tried to order the cable from an online store www.cimplespares.com but they do not answer to my email).
An other question: The little temple pads are glued up by some sticky jelly but they are not stable, what can i use instead of it ?

Dear Judo,

I would not recommend to exchange the cable by yourself - the systems can be damaged if you are not expirienced.
To re-glue the small pads you can use a little contactglue.
You can send in your K 1000 to your local AKG Distributor which is:
SOUND TECHNOLOGY PLC (Pro)
Letchworth Point
Letchwortch Garden City
Hertfordshire SG6 1ND

kind regards
