Hi: I'm trying to build a high performance crystal set, for which purpose I need to buy a good quality audio transformer. My problem is that I have to match the impedance of my AKG K140s to the impedance of the secondary winding of the audio transformer, and I don't know what the impedance of my AKG K140s is. I do know, both because I've measured them and because they say so, that their DC resistance is 600 Ohms per side; 1,200 in total. Does anyone know what the impedance of my AKGs is, or do I have to make an educated quess? If so, is there some rule of thumb by which I can make such a guess? Thank you. PS: These are very old -- but very very good headphones, so I would like to use them in my crystal set.
Best wishes
