Hi all,
I have a 20 year old set of 600 ohm K141 Monitor headphones that I absolutely LOVE. But they're starting to crackle, the earpads are virtually non-existant... you get the picture.

What will be the closest AKG replacement headphone to that K141 sound??? I know AKG now has the K141 MK II, but do they really sound as good as these 20 year old beauties???

Would love to hear your opinions.  These are used for preliminary mixing and tracking... before I go my monitors for the 'real' mixing.

Hi Big D,

The new K 141 MK II has a wider frquency range then the old one, the impedance has also been changed to 55 Ohm/capsule ( old model had 600 Ohm/capsule) - which makes the headphone louder on most todays equipment.
So all in all you should take a closer look to the MK II - it should fit your need perfect.
