Hi,
I just bought an akg k 450 and i'm really appy: sound and confort are great.
I really like the fact that cable are detachable: no need to change headphone when cable is broken.

But i search where to buy new cable  which fit with this headphone. akg doesn't seem to sell some...

so if someone find a place to buy cable for akg k450, thanks for telling me.

I broke my AKG K450 cable. Where can I buy one? This is really frustrating as I cannot find it anywhere and there is absolutely NONE information about it on AKG's website.

Hello everybody!

Does anyone know where can I buy replacement cables for headphones AKG K450?

I have sent a few emails but I have not even responded. It is sad that you spend almost $ 100 on a product and not tell you where you can buy the cable.  Angry Angry Angry Angry

Harman UK are the people to speak to in the UK on 01728 746 500.

Cost me £11.51 including postage at VAT!! A lot of money just for a cable.

? I wonder why so many people have so much problems whit the cabel change.
My Headphone cable from my AKG K450 broked 4 times allready (and the product is only 1 year old) but I've got everytime a new one 4 free.
I just send a copy of my warantie card, a copy my bill and the broken cable to a service office from akg (in Germany its called RW Soundsystem, and here is a link to a list of sevice points http://www.akg.com/personal/Service,tid,29,_psmand,2.html) and latest 1 week later i have the new cable, and i just payed the 1,45€ for the parcel to RW Soundsystems and thats all.

Maybe the list helps you to contact some one of the akg service stations.

You are right. If you still have warranty everything is fine. That stops if your warranty is over. My cabel broke a while ago and I contacted AKG. If I wanted a new one it would cost me almost 40 euros. That is half the price of the whole headphone! I think this is ridiculous.

I searched on the web to find an other place where you can buy a new cable for the AKG K450, but the only site I found was thomass.de where you have to spend at least 25 euros to be able to order something. This is a lot if you want to buy a little cable of 6 euros.

One of the reasons I bought this headphone was because of the loose cable. If I knew it was this hard to get a new one, I probably would not have bought it!

Hi, sorry to revive an old thread, i'm currently eyeing the k450 and unfortunately i found out the cable is easilly broken, is that really the case? am i correct that there are 2 detachable cables with different lengths to choose from? is it hard to mod the cable or make a new one? i'm hesitant to get one since warranty policy is kinda flaky here in our country but with the good reviews, i really want to try them out... also, are the pads easilly removable? thanks in advance Smiley

Hello Guys,

AKG has distributors wordwide who can help if needed.
To find your distributor go to "contact" on the headline of this site and choose "international distributors" in the pull down menue - then simply select your country.

kind regards
