heyho all together

first of all i have to say, that i use my headphones for about 4h/day. so its easy to understand that i have a enormous waste of headphones  Wink .
i have had the K412P, K414P, K416P, Bose Around Ear Headphone, and at the momment i use the K518DJ.
all my privious headphones had the same weak point (one of the cables broke near to the plug => its just the half pleasure with a broken cable ^^).

now its time (again) to buy new headphones.
i consider to buy the new K450 but i have a few questions in terms of the sound, the cable and the sale:
i think the k518dj are my best headphones in terms of sound until yet => can the new k450 keep up with them?
i have heared, that the problem with the broken cable seems to be "standart" at portable akg headphones => is this problem fixed/stemmed at the new models?
and last question: do you know until when the k450 will be in stack at the dealers in austria (i havent found them anywhere yet)?

i hope my english was tolerably understandable Wink

i whish a relaxed weekend and thanks for the help

Well, I l only have the AKG K27i, JBL 410 (AKG K27i with a bit more style) and the AKG K518's. But I'm salivating over these AKG K450. My only concern is that i won't be able to get them here in the UK! I hope i can, because i love the K27i/JBL 410's!

I ordered the K450's last week and they arrived today.
The sound is awesome, best headphones I've owned, but that's probably not difficult.

I don't know of the previous models with dodgy cable but these seem like they'll be really strong and I'd guess replacements will be available as they're detachable.

Look forward to seeing the bluetooth attachment  Cheesy

Yesterday I decidet to buy the K450.
(The cable of my K512 broke again, and I wasn't up for brazing it again.)

The sound of the K450 is absolutely amazing. Better than the sound of all the other headphones I have had yet.

The deeps are at least as powerfull as the deeps of the K512. The mids and the highs are clear and great balanced.

The cable seems to be ok. The great thing is, that if it breaks again, its absolutely easy to change (until yet i had to use my soldering gun 1x/3months to repair my headphones)...
