K701 headband uncomfortable

Hello,
Even though I am quite happy with my K701 as a whole, the only feature deteriorating my hearing experience is the headband. Maybe for people with big and/or nearly flat heads it works. I have a quite small head, hat size 54cm, and quite short hair; the headband has padded ribs on the inside with a big bubble in the middle. It happens that the entire headphone resides on this middle bubble pressing against my skull. After a while this pressure becomes quite uncomfortable, close to painful. What would be a remedy, can the headband be exchanged against something softer?
Kind regards,
peter

This is my only complaint with regards to these headphones too (I'm using the K702s). I never had any discomfort from the headband on my K240s, but I have to take frequent breaks with these. However, my ears tended to get a bit sore with the K240s, so maybe more of the weight was on my ears on the K240s (instead of the top of my head). I also have a large/long'ish head, so it's not just a problem for smaller heads. I'm hoping that the elastics that pull the headband down loosen up pretty soon, or maybe I'll have to accelerate this process by placing the headphones on something that extends on the headband elastics while I'm not wearing them. I'm also considering placing some sort of thin foam in between the headband and my head.
Can the AKG guys recommend anything? Is it more an issue of the weight of the headphones and the minimal headband padding, or are the elastic bands more the issue?
Thanks,
Sean

Perhaps the headband was designed for heads with a hyperbolic (chain line) shape? The top of my head is closer to a parabolic or elliptic shape which is the reason for the highest force being on the top.
Well, I must admit that the unconfortable headband became the reason why I do not use the headphone any more at work; I don't even bother putting it on either. If wearing the headphone was comfortable, I would keep it on my head all day.
Perhaps taking out the pad from the middle bubble will help.
Cheers,
peter

Next time if you'll gonna buy a headband you must try it first if it
does fits you or not.. so that your money won't be wasted...
