Hi Carmelo,

You can get replacement pads from the AKG distributor in your country. Click to the 'Contact' button at the top of this apge ti find respective addresses. Here are some hints for replacement:

Newer K141 have pads with bayonet lock. These can be removed by pressing the cushion against the ear shell's housing and turning the pad counter-clockwise. For this K141 version you need the pads 2144Z1601.

Older K141 have the pads glued. These cushions can be replaced as follows: First completely remove the old pads. Usually they can be pulled off. If parts from the cushion, especially the holder plate of the foam remain on the housing disk, scrape them off using a screwdriver or the like. This may be a little complicated but if not more or less all remains are removed, the new cushions will not stick properly. During this procedure take care to ensure that no particles get into the capsule housing. Remove the protective cover from the mounting surface of the new cushions. Adhesive is already applied. Place the cushions exactly centred on to the ear-shells and press it firmly for a few seconds. Cushions with adhesive have the part number 2144Z0602.

For both versions of K141 the centre foam disc covering the sound ports has the part number 2144Z0801.

Kind regards

Karl

hello,

i have K 141 Studio and the ear cushions 2144Z1601 with bayonet lock are crumbling

however, the newer modifications are for sale

as for as i can see K 141 mkII have 2 pairs of cushions, the 2144Z16010 and the 2144Z16020

are these cushions the same or different as K 141 Studio 2144Z1601 (there's a 0 in the end in K 141 mkII)?

i mean i can buy K 141 mkii and place 1 of 2 pairs of cushions on my K 141 Studio, is this right?

K 142 HD has 1 pair of cushions, is this right?
