Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for the price I bought an HT40 mini handheld microphone 1 year ago at Guitar Center NY. When I got back home to really test the product, I noticed the tone too "trebly" with no bass and mid frequencies at all. After getting frutrated I started checking out on the web for all the opinions about the same mic. Finally I got te the conclusion that my product was damaged. I didn't want to have all the stressing job to activate the warranty so I decided to fix it myself by changing the original capsule for a capsule from another mic I had (a behringer xm8500 wich I like myself). So, what I have to say about the wms 40 is not about the tone, since I'm currently using a capsule from another mic of another company. BUT I can talk about the wireless transmition as well as the battery consumption. For what the product is destinated for (which is: small gigs and houses of worshi) it just does the job very well. Since I've dared to use it on an outdoor concert of my band, I must say that it works better indoor than on outdoor environments. In places like gyms of pubs, I never had problems of signal loss. But when I used it outdoor I realized that the distance I could keep from the receiver was reasonably smaller, and I experienced moments of loss of signal for walking away too much. In my opinion, nothing too serius. Plus, If I wanted more width, I shold have bought a high end wireless system. Now, the best part: BATTERY CONSUMPTION. I must say that this is the most economical wireless kit ever produced on the market. One single AA battery (even rechargeble) can last MORE THAN 24 hours, FOR REAL! So, the "30 hour" displayed on the box IS TRUE. I have tested it my self. One day I put a fully charged AA battery and turned on both mic and receiver and lived my life (went to bed, to work, got back home). The battery died about 29 hours later and maybe that was not even my best battery.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Microphone I've bought this same microphone about 3 times and I wasted $300. Poor quality. The receiver is always messing up or won't turn on. It will also make a lot of static no matter how close or far you are. I take very great care of my equipment and there's been 2 times that it'll automatically stop working and it'll be the first time I use it out the box. I will definitely not rebuy a new one.
