Powerful sound for professionals

The D7 reference dynamic vocal microphone creates the subtle and open sound of a condenser capsule with the powerful resonance of a dynamic microphone. The patented dual-layer Varimotion diaphragm can vibrate unhindered, which results in an extraordinarily crisp and clean sound. The unique laminated material damps high resonance peaks in the frequency response, which in combination with the tight, supercardioid polar pattern enables the D7's outstanding high gain before feedback. Its mechano-pneumatic capsule suspension and an integrated high-pass filter effectively eliminate handling noise. A precision metal dust filter provides a consistent protection for the diaphragm, ensuring an extra-long life.

D7 is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from By far this is best dynamic mic I've ever used I have a unit for one year and have been using it for all vocal recordings (in my home stutio) for my band since then. It's no surprise for me that it's capsule is known as "refference". Since it's the best mic I own, I avoid bringing it to the road, but I have used if a couple times in reharsals and the result was just spectacular. I experienced a great sound capture with NO FEEDBACK AT ALL even in moments when I was closer to the speakers than I should. My advice is: If you want a dynamic to make you impressed with a studio-like quality in live situations, just buy it!

I purchased and just received the C7 Dynamic microphone. I tried the cord that I currently to use with my Pioneer Karaoke machine and it's not working. What cord do I need to purchase? I don't see an on/off switch on the microphone. Thank you.

Asked by: Geoffrey
Geoffrey, did you mean D7 or C7? If you purchased the C7, I must tell you that this is a Condenser microphone, wich means it's NOT the best choice for what you want, wich is Karaoke use. Why? Because condenser microphones are better used for studio recordings on environments with acoustic treatment. Using a condenser microphone in small and crowed parties or on small and noisy environments may cause feedback issues that are very hard to handle. .If you purchased the D7, so this will fit your purpose just fine. About the cable, I suggest that you search for a [1/4 - XLR] cable, considering most Karaoke machines use the 1/4 jack for mic connection.
