Rated 5 out of 5 by from AKG brilliance Been looking at purchasing these for a while, didn't want the newer Wireless version as having owned the AKG Y-45BT I found the volume limiter on Apple devices didn't allow them the depth they provided via wired connection through a Fiio headphone Amp. I ordered these through the AKG outlet store as "factory refurbished" with quite a reduction on price. They came and were packaged as new.To say I'm delighted with them would be an understatement. The build quality, materials used and the finish alone make you want to use them, then you listen to them and they are brilliant. The noise cancelling feature is more than a gimmick and definitely does it's job very well. I am really pleased with these and and having owned 3 pairs of AKG's can say that this company know exactly how to keep their customers happy and do it with panache and quality in spades.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes the train ride bearable I got these for Christmas after dropping a strong hint. I've been a long time fan of AKG having used their studio headphones for over 20 years. I was not disappointed. Deep bass, wonderful noise cancelling, and compact size. I only wish they were Bluetooth capable. However I think I can fix that with a third party adapter. Get a pair, you wont be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most amazing headphones I've ever owned! I am blown away by the sound quality these headphones produce, and the noise cancellation is excellent and an added bonus. I have yet to have a friend try them out and not go out and buy their own pair. Simply amazing in quality, design and comfort!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic sound, great feel. I bought these a few days ago after being disappointed with a pair of Bose QC35s. The shop I used (Superfi in Nottingham) suggested the AKGs and offered me a trial. Immediately they felt and sounded great. The headphones themselves feel so well engineered and the sound is fantastic, noise cancellation was really effective (used them for real on a train journey to London this week) and all capped off with a rechargeable battery. I was initially put off by the on ear format but have no concerns at all now with the performance they deliver.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive noise cancelling and sound quality So impressed with these headphones! Noise cancelling technology is awesome, really keeps out a lot of outside noise. The sound quality is excellent, very crisp. Also, they're super comfortable. By far my favorite pair of headphones and for the price compared to other NC headphones out there, these are a great buy. Only wish they had added volume control on in-line remote, does have call button but volume control would have been nice to have. Other than that, highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely headphones with one major flaw... Overall a great set of headphones. Nice noise cancelling, comfortable fit (although the over-ear config means that are not as effective in very loud environments like planes). Major fail though... you cannot charge the headphone while using them! If you're travelling, not such an issue, but if you're working on a computer, it's a real pain. You need to take them off to charge them as the charging socket is the same one as the sound cable. Staggeringly poor design for a high-end headphone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sounding NC headphones I have had these for about 9 months now and overall, I'm quite pleased with them. The sound quality is great, with or without NC. I use them in airplanes and in the office. In the office they are great; a nice, balanced sound. They really shine, however, on an airplane with the NC turned on. It's amazing to hear bass, voices, etc. while at 10000 meters! Battery life of the NC is stellar. Be advised though, the bass isn't maybe as pleasing to the bass-heads out there. While music like hip-hop and electronica sound great, they don't quite kick the bass like some other headphones. Turning the NC on does help, though. If you like balanced, hi-fi sound these are great. The only thing keeping this from 5 stars, for me, is the lack of a 3-button remote on the cord. An aftermarket cord could fix this. Please AKG, please make a cord for these with 3-button iOS control. Thanks!

Where can I find a replacement microphone / universal cable? Can you also tell me what kind of a splitter to buy (say I am watching a movie with someone).

Asked by: LisaM
Please submit a case request at https://www.akg.com/support-contact.html and the Customer Service Team will be more than happy to assist you with getting a replacement microphone cable. As for the splitter, any 3.5 mm type splitter will work on these headphones. You may purchase one from an electronics shop.

How do I charge these? I received a cable but it does not have a USB connection.

Asked by: Patr
Charging port is located on the Left earphone. There is a port where you can connect the 2.5mm to USB for charging.

When playing a file on my Tascam DA 40 which is in stereo, I get it in mono when I plug in my N60's. Touching the button temporarily puts it in stereo. How can I make this permanentley stereo?

Asked by: chrisb
Hello! Thank you for your message. The N60NC on-ear headphones are designed to work with multimedia devices as smartphones or tablets. Considering your description, this can be caused due to the fact that the N60NC jack cable is 4 poled and the headphones output from the Tascam DA 40 is a 3 poled. My advice is to use a 4 to 3 poled converter. Contact us at customer.service@harman.com if you need more help.

I cannot pair my n60nc with my laptop (PC) as he says I need some drivers (for the bluetooth). Where can I find these drivers? Or what is the way to connect the headset to a PC?

Asked by: flying star
N60NC will definitely work with your PC. You'll just need to find a Bluetooth driver that supports A2DP Audio codec. Your best bet is to go into your control panel and find the Bluetooth setup. If you don't see the Bluetooth section on Devices, chances are that there are issues with Bluetooth driver. Make sure to go to Device Manager to verify the driver is present and installed correctly. If everything looks alright, but you don't see the option, you may want to download and reinstall the latest Bluetooth driver from your computer's manufacturer support website or contact OEM directly for further support.

I plan to use these headphones for NC (without music playing). Do they need to be wired to a device if I just want the NC to be active?

Asked by: Jenni
Hi Jenni, Thank you for your question. No, they do not need to be inserted in a phone or tablet. The NC function can be enabled or disabled without the need of music playing. If you need more information, please contact customer.support@harman.com

I have just received a pair of these. When testing them in a quiet room, the audio sounds exactly the same with the NC on or off. When I switch it on, there is a brief "surge" almost like an increase in bass but then the audio reverts to as before?

Asked by: Helen
Hi, and thank you for your support of AKG! Yes, this is normal behavior. If you are in a silent room, NC is of course unnecessary, and you should not turn it on. The surge is a sign that the NC circuit is operational, and will produce signals in opposite phase to noise picked up by the microphones.

How long in minutes to charge from zero to full?

Asked by: Adriaan
Depending on the electrical source you are using to charge the headphones. If you are using a wall charger with a standard residential circuit of 15 or 20 amps - it typically takes 120 minutes for the N60NC to receive a full charge.
