Rated 4 out of 5 by rjsound from Great sounding headphones, good noise cancelling I have owned my pair for more than a year. I do not find any issues with the build quality as mentioned in another review, but as with any hinged headphone, the hinge could be a weak point. Proper handling is key. I don't baby my headphones but treat them with a reasonable amount of respect and have had no mechanical issues with them at all. The sound quality is outstanding and they are very comfortable to wear and not at all fatiguing. I do find that the noise cancelling is really only intended to eliminate lower frequency noise, such as ambient aircraft noises, but still allows you to hear voices pretty easily. If your purpose is to essentially eliminate most ambient sound then these are not appropriate for you. Playing music at a low to moderate volume eliminates the outside world, much more so than if you turn off the noise cancelling. These are best characterized are relatively neutral headphones, thankfully not bass heavy like so many current headphones out there. Excellent sound balance. I cannot normally wear typical headphones for any length of time, so I am very happy that these work so well for me and can wear them for extended periods with no issue.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Ceej from Poor Quality Control Two headed Snake . . . Sound Amazing, but will break at the hinge. I've gone thru several pair before I finally had to call it quits and go with a different headphone. Real shame as the sound quality is so good on them. They should of paid a little more attention to the construction of it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dina from Poor quality- hinge broke used only a few times! I am so disappointed, the headphones slid off my lap on the plane, and the hinge broke! Can I send them in to be repaired? I hope can be repaired at a reasonable price, as there is obviously a product defect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Vesa from Terrible quality - head band broken twice I bought my headphones 3 years back and used it occasionally, around 20 times per year only when travelling. After some 1.5years the heand band extension failed the first time. Plastic part in the extension is brittle. AKG replaced the first headphones to warranty. Approx same 1.5years later with similar usage the exact same failure happened again. This time the warranty was not valid anymore. AKG said it's not possible to fix it as there is no spare parts for this model. So basicly I need to throw away these headphones. Wrote feedback to Harman support and sales but there was no response Lifetime for almost 300usd headphones is awfully short. Lost my confidence in Harman products. Avoid these headphones!

Rated 1 out of 5 by David from Horrible Design! Sound quality is OK but design and customer service is very poor! The hinge connecting the earpiece to the headband is so weak that BOTH sides broke after minimal use. I used crazy glue to re-attach the first break and was careful to use lots of caution. Then the other side broke at the same attachment point. I called customer service and was told I have NO recompense since they were outside of warranty period. It looks like subsequent designs are poor as well. I would stay away from these!

Rated 1 out of 5 by SamJ from Great sound, Horrible quality! I had received the headphones as a gift. The sound quality was great but the headphones broke at the hinge. The company honored the warranty and sent a replacement pair. Within 5 months the headphones broke at the same exact spot. I would not recommend this to anyone. It does not make sense to spend this amount of money and receive a defective product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by edhinos from Really bad construction for the price I bought these and a week later one of the hinges broke up. Looking for a replacement I noticed that on eBay there are a lot of these with the hinges broken, so there is a serious flaw on the materials. Good sound quality though.
